This is what happens once the numbers are corrected. The promise is not that we will categorize transactions. The promise is that we maintain the structure we worked so hard to restore.
The point is that the accounting system stays defensible. Cleanup is expensive because rebuilding is harder than maintaining. Once your books are right, the whole job of monthly bookkeeping is to keep them that way.
We maintain the structure we worked so hard to restore.
That framing changes what monthly work looks like. It is not a bookkeeper logging into your file, matching transactions to categories, and calling it done. It is closing the books the way a controller would: reconciled, reviewed, and delivered with commentary.
The scope of ongoing bookkeeping is defined at the start and does not drift. If your business changes and the scope needs to expand, we scope it and re-quote in writing. No surprise add-ons.
Naming what a service does not cover is as important as naming what it does. This is how we protect scope, price, and the quality of the work you are paying for.
We are bookkeepers, not tax preparers. We coordinate with your CPA, prepare year-end packets, and answer their questions. We do not file returns.
Payroll runs through your existing provider. We reconcile the results to the general ledger and clean up liabilities, but we do not run the payroll itself.
Recording bills and invoices is standard. Chasing customers to pay or vendors to send bills is a separate scope. We can add it, but it is quoted separately.
If we find historical issues during ongoing work, we flag them and quote a fixed-fee cleanup addendum. We do not silently absorb prior-period repair into monthly work.
Not every business needs the kind of monthly work we do. Ongoing bookkeeping with us is a match if any of the following are true.
We do occasionally take on ongoing bookkeeping without a preceding cleanup, but only when the current file is genuinely clean. Most files need at least a light cleanup to give ongoing work a defensible starting point.
Bring your questions. We will tell you honestly what your books look like, what monthly work would look like, and whether we are the right fit.
